The coquina walls and chimneys of the sugar mill remain standing as a monument to the rise and fall of the sugar plantations of East Florida. Bulow Creek is recognized as a State Canoe Trail. A nature trail passes through a stand of "catfaced" pines that were worked for turpentine prior to World War II. The Interpretive Center has original artifacts and exhibits on Bulow Plantation, picnicing, hiking etc also available. The nature trail to the sugar mill is a must, it passes through pines that were used for turpentine prior to World War II. The Sugar Mill Ruins are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Audubon House & Gardens

Due for demolition in 1958, the house was saved by the Mitchell Wolfson Family Foundation. Antique enthusiasts will appreciate the unique quality of the furnishings purchased for the Audubon House at estate sales and auctions in Europe

Considered to be one of the longest, continually occupied sites in Florida, this six-mound complex is believed to have been started around 200 B.C. by the Indians. A unique feature of the site are the stelae. They are two carved stones pointing from opposite sides to the burial mound
