One of the world's great zoos, Metrozoo houses more than 700 wild animals, no cages will be found as the setting is meant to be similar to the animals' natural habitat. The only zoo in the continental United States located in a subtropical climate; Metrozoo showcases animals that cannot easily be exhibited in colder climates.

See a wide variety of animals demonstrate natural behaviors that will amaze and inspire you. From the incredible mimicking ability of parrots to the powerful elegance of a cheetah, the Wildlife Show is “education through entertainment” in every sense of the term. Experienced wildlife trainers will dispel many of the myths and misconceptions concerning wildlife while providing a unique window into their fascinating world.

For an aerial view of Miami Metrozoo, hop on the air-conditioned Monorail. With four convenient stops throughout the Zoo, the Monorail is a great way to see and learn about the animals.

For a cool new way to see Metrozoo, rent a Safari Cycle for the whole family. Located across from the Flamingos. Small cycles can accommodate up to three adults and two small children, while the large cycles can accommodate up to six adults and two small children.

A narrated tour of both behind-the-scenes areas and the public walkway along exhibits provides entertaining and fascinating information on the zoo's animal collection.
