Started back in 1941, the grand opera house in Miami has been performing 1st class opera and musicals to tourists and locals.

The Florida Grand Opera Young Artist Studio targets those skills necessary to develop a successful opera career. Young Artists have the opportunity to perform or cover mainstage roles, sing in the FGO chorus, take part in school and community performances and perform art song recitals. Many world famous performers have also played here including Pavorotti.

The Bakehouse, was born in 1981 when the organizers bought the abandoned, 1920s bakery, located in the Wynwood area, one of Miami Dade County's most disadvantaged neighborhoods. The BAC now houses artist studios and their work.

The complex itself features more than 75 studios providing affordable working and exhibition space, career opportunities, and market opportunities for artists. The artist represent a dozen national origins, reflecting Miami's international and multi-ethnic character.
